After Effects

In Process

Adobe After Effects is a digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application used for animation. in training, I use it for light animation  for training courses and video production.

Six Sigma Green Belt

Intel Corporation

Six Sigma Green Belts use Six Sigma and the DMAIC methodology to measure current performance, identify process issues, and formulate solutions. In training, I use it to define and measure training solutions and streamline processes.

Certified Usability Analyst

Human Factors International

Certified Usability Analysts apply the key understandings about human vision, intellect, memory, and motor functions to design web interfaces  that balance user performance and visual appeal.

Instructional Design Core

Arizona State University

The instructional design process includes the following tasks: analysis of learning needs and aligning them with business requirements; creating objectives for learning needs; selecting and creating the content to meet objectives, selecting assessment strategies;  and evaluating the effectiveness at the end of training.

What I Focus on

I have found successful outcomes depend on critical factors.  Below I outline key formative aspects I focus on.

Strategic Learning Design for Real-World Performance

Effective training is not just about delivering information—it is about enabling people to perform with confidence and competence. I partner with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and business leaders to identify performance gaps and design learning solutions that drive measurable impact.

My work focuses on:

  • Enterprise systems training and adoption

  • Curriculum architecture and learning pathway design

  • Performance support tools and job aids

  • Change enablement and workforce transition support

  • AI-enabled learning development and rapid prototyping

I design learning experiences that are practical, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.

A Performance-Focused, Iterative Approach

My design process combines proven instructional design methodology with agile, iterative development. Using structured development cycles—including Skeleton, Alpha, Beta, and Final iterations—I ensure alignment, accuracy, and effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.

This approach enables:

  • Early validation of learning structure and strategy

  • Continuous stakeholder feedback

  • Efficient development and refinement

  • High-quality, performance-focused outcomes

The result is learning that supports real performance—not just content delivery.

Designing Meaningful Learning Experiences

Effective training begins with understanding the learner. Frameworks such as ADDIE help uncover user needs and performance challenges, but even well-structured training can fall short if the learning experience feels disconnected from real work or difficult to engage with.

For this reason, I prioritize designing learning experiences that are clear, relevant, and engaging. Through thoughtful scenarios, practical examples, and purposeful interaction, training becomes more than a requirement—it becomes an opportunity for meaningful skill development and growth.

Balancing creativity with timelines and business priorities is always part of the process. My goal is to create learning solutions that not only support measurable performance outcomes, but also leave learners feeling confident, motivated, and prepared to apply what they’ve learned in their daily work.
